About Us

Crushed, not broken.
I’m Reneé — breast cancer survivor, founder, and future therapist. This is the story behind Crushing Cancer Collective.
On November 12, 2021, before I even started chemotherapy, I declared my healing out loud. That same day, I opened my Bible and read Psalm 56:3-4 (NLT):
“But when I am afraid, I will put my trust in you.
I praise God for what he has promised.
I trust in God, so why should I be afraid?
What can mere mortals do to me?”
That scripture became my anchor. It’s why this Collective exists.
Crushing Cancer Collective was born out of my own story. What started as me just trying to survive cancer turned into something I never expected — a community, a movement, and a space for people rebuilding life after treatment.
I founded Crushing Cancer Collective as a breast cancer survivor who loves Jesus and knows firsthand how hard it is when treatment ends but life still feels broken. Doctors may say you’re ‘done,’ but inside you’re still processing the losses — your body, your plans, relationships, work, your faith, your identity.
I thought finishing treatment meant life would snap back, but instead I felt like a stranger to myself. This Collective exists so none of us have to walk that part alone.
We’re not here to pretend everything is fine. We’re here to say the real things: that it’s messy, it’s confusing, and it takes time. And we’re here to figure it out together — with faith, honesty, and community.
